T shapes in two point perspective

Compared with one-point perspective prisms, two-point ones provide a rather strong sense of reality and practical, since we live in 3D space...

Exp 3 week 1

Firstly, a valley in one of my chosen clients county - USA

Death Valley

Next, T shapes in one point perspective

Differentiated with parallel shapes, one-point perspective ones point out the concept of space and effect from human eyesight. However, they are still relatively abstract.

MashUp of three news articles

Oprah Winfrey
Lady Gaga
Jonathan Ive

More than anyone, Oprah Winfrey knows how to cover all the bases. It is the truth that HBO's "Lady Gaga Presents the Monster Ball Tour: At Madison Square Garden" is a love letter to her hometown, fans and her roots and also puts viewers in the front row at one of her shows. We don't know what Apple design supremo Jonathan Ive thinks of the concept, but it looks pretty special to us. It is really influential of Winfrey's final show, "You have enlightened us, you have empowered us and you have taught us how to be." said Jada Pinkett Smith said at the beginning of the second hour of "Surprise Oprah! A Farewell Spectacular." Lady Gaga expresses her attraction by her passions, "I'm gonna marry the night/ I won't give up on my life/ I'm a warrior queen/ Live passionately tonight," she sings to herself, waiting for her show to begin. This is more than a bit of fresh design ink, which shows how beyond of imagination of Ive's design. For all her control issues and narrative insistence, Oprah understands that moments of truth and beauty are never scripted, that they exist mostly in the blank spaces between the items on the checklist, come up through the cracks in a conversation, rarely look anything like you thought they would. All of them have impacts to this world, which show different kinds of power.

An overall view - Sigmund Freud's lab on the left and Issac Newton's lab on the right.

Newton's lab - 2 ways getting there.

One of the ways is taking a chairlift on the cable.

Inside Newton's lab - a stair not availble for the world with gravity, implying the thinking about the gravity.

Freud's lab - the way getting there is hemi-spiral stairway.

The entrance of Freud's lab - can also see Newton's lab in the view.

Inside Freud's lab - unnormal scale-stairs, implying the psychoanalysis to some extent.

The 2 hypotheses

Isaac Newton - Existance of gravity proves that there's not any two things that do not relate to each other

Sigmund Freud - The best way to fix a crazy person is through communication

Electroliquid Aggregation

The existance of gravity proves that things have connections and relations with each other physically, which is also existed mentally. Collisions and communications of thoughts sometimes show a stronger yoke, on the other hand, supporting the relationships and attractions among the things. The existance of everything is reasonable as no one is redundant for anyone relates to and attracts by others.

Some thoughts about the design

Isaac Newton and Sigmund Freud were chosen because they can represent two aspects of the world, physics and psychology respectively. It is hard to compare the two subjects but indeed, both of them are important and necessary.

By designing the way from the clients' labs to the meeting place, I did two straight but different ways for Newton and one curve way for Freud, to  try demonstrating their differences, either in their scientific fields or of their behaviors.

The meeting place is simple and without texture, showing that the communication and collision of the two kinds of thoughts are original and pure, no need too much more complicated. Moreover, it is the same reason that I give the small space without most of the walls and ceilings, which gives the oppotunity to approach the nature.
